I have been a realtor for 8 years and commonly staged my clients homes without any formal training, because I knew their homes would sell quicker and for more money if properly staged. Honestly though, it is because I love to decorate. I had taken a staging course previously for realtors which pretty much gave me basics, but not much else. When I moved from Colorado to South Carolina I didn't want to get my real estate license and start all over. I decided that if I have to start at something all over I'd rather be a full time stager. I wasn't in the HSR class for long, but following along with the outline I started getting calls. My first job with with a home builder doing model homes. My second was with a new home owner buying their first new home. I'll admit I was scared and excited at the same time. I always wanted to get into staging for a profession. After working in corporate America for a few years, I felt emotionally drained and burnt out. Before taking the HSR course, I never even knew E-Design existed. Often times, I would try to piece together some sort of an idea board using Publisher or another software, but I could never achieve a clean, well designed board. I have completed both the Staging course and the e-design course. I love the way the information is not only practical but immediately usable as well. I was able to start working with my first e-design client right away. I am not techy, but by using the training and videos, I was able to easily handle using the e-design technology.

I researched a lot of home staging training programs before I decided on HSR. Initially, I started my training with a cheap alternative, and unfortunately, you get what you pay for. I first came into home staging when I put my own home for sale that we had lived in for 20 yrs. Our realtor had seen the before and after and went bazooka over the transformation. I had been thinking of it for some time, but he gave me the confidence to go ahead. I found HSR through a local stager who had staged a home that I saw while looking for a new home. Home redesign and staging has been a hobby of mine for many years, and I finally decided to follow my passion and turn it into a business. As a Real Estate Broker Associate, I sometimes get homes to put on the market that need a little bit of help being presentable. I came to the HSR training program with a background of several decades in Learning & Development. As you can probably imagine, it is challenging for me to take classes of any kind (live, recorded, or virtual) without distracting thoughts of how the objectives are not clear, content isn't cohesive, or the speaker isn't engaging. I'm thrilled to say that after three intense weeks, I am thrilled with Audra's training.
The program sequence makes sense. It reminds me of walking up to a map in the middle of a theme park. It's easy to see where you've been, where you are, and where you're headed next. While I followed the sequence as is, I appreciate that I had the option to jump around.
Now that I'm certified, I go forward with confidence. I have tool box full of tools I'll use and more importantly, I know how to use them. If I have any questions or concerns going forward, I know Audra and the HSR community are there for me.

Fantastic training program! Audra is so easy-going, real, knowledgeable and hits all the nails right on the head!
