Since design trends play a huge roll in those renovation trends decisions, it's important to know exactly where in the trend life cycle that finish is and how to explain the right pick to clients.

If you time the renovation trends decision correctly... your client won't be ripping out or remodeling again anytime soon. Choosing a renovation trend style that is at the decline period of the trend life cycle means your client will remodeling within five years instead of 15.
