5 Ways to Simplify Design Services

Are you struggling with how to add a simplified design service to your home staging business?

Or maybe you are a designer and you're struggling with how to control your service offerings because those projects are taking forever?

Here is another Expert E-Designer success story about HGTV super star and designer Cathy Hobbs who wanted to simplify her design services while focusing on what she loved to do...curate beautiful spaces.  Cathy is a NYC home stager and designer who needed to pivot during Covid and adjust her business to remote design...that's when she found my Expert E-Designer training program and adjusted her design services and business model to a simplified yet profitable path.

5 Keys to Adjusting and Simplifying Design

As you can see from the video above, Cathy had to adjust her business to meet new expectations and also the needs of the many clients who desire her design services but don't live close.  Here's the 5 keys to simplifying and staying happy in your business:

  • Get clarity on what you really love to do in your business
  • Create services based on that clarity and set those expectations within the service descriptions
  • Keep your design services simple,  packaged and stair-stepped ideally
  • Do NOT charge by the hour but by the package
  • Allow clients to shop direct while making great money on what they buy

As you can see from the video above, adapting and reworking your design and staging business is how you love what you do and avoid burn-out.

Thanks Cathy for sharing your story and your amazing work!
