How to Create Perfect Agent Partnerships
I got a long list of questions when I recently spoke at a RESA Newbie webinar and I thought it would be good to share some of these questions and my answers in video posts. This seemed to be a recurring question for many new stagers:
Audra, do real estate agents pay for the staging consultation and if so, how do you get them to do that?
I've got a few hot tips below but I would rather show you how best to create perfect agent partnerships in this video post... enjoy:

3 Keys to Create Perfect Agent Partnerships
- Listen to Their Needs, Speak to the Struggle and Educate Agents on the Benefits: It's not easy being a real estate agent especially in changing markets of low inventory and plenty of competition! Agents struggle to stand-out, gain listings and don't always understand how partnering with stagers is beneficial to their business. This is why inside my staging certification training, I provide a ton of tools to help stagers educate agents on why using a stager is a very good idea. I even provide a video, Canva Template and how-to video to show my members how easy it is to create a video in Canva to showcase statistics and their great work. They can post this on social, use on their website and send to agents easily.
- Create Co-Branded Marketing Materials for Agents to Showcase in Their Listing Presentations: Providing print or digital, co-branded resources to agents in order to assist them in educating sellers on the benefits of staging is a first step to standing-out among other stagers.
- Set the Expectation: Ultimately it's the seller who benefits the most from a staged home, so they should be paying for this valuable service. Having said that, many agents will pay for the consultation to start the conversation so long as they know the stager will provide a detailed list of what the seller should do to get top dollar for the home and sell quickly. A stager can set that expectation up front by providing the agent with an example of their Staging Report and a copy of what was recommended every time they go into a consultation, so everyone is on the same page:
Ultimately, it's about serving your clients in ways that make them look great and achieving that win-win relationship.
